Cambria Hotel Plano Frisco at 7500 Parkwood Boulevard, Plano, Texas.

I really enjoyed the service from John at the front desk. He was very accommodating and personable. The room was clean and had a nice layout. I especially liked that the sitting area had a divide from the sleeping area which allows for better light and noise control within your own room. I also noticed that guests seemed to be spread out within the hotel itself which really helped keep down any disruptions from foot traffic in the hallway, doors opening/closing, or housekeeping staff being an arms length away for over an hour. It's probably less convenient for staff, but more pleasant for guests and I definitely appreciated that. Breakfast could use some help. The buffet didn't look all that appetizing and when I ordered the biscuits and gravy I was disappointed. First of all, one biscuit cut in half does not equal "biscuits" and the gravy didn't have any real flavor to it. It tasted like a powdered mix with no attempt to even enhance it. Eggs came to order, but were unseasoned and the bacon was beyond well done. The gym was what I'd expect in a hotel. Nothing fancy, but large enough that machines weren't crammed into the space. Location was also nice. I visited on business and was able to walk to the office and a lot of good food options were within walking distance. I didn't have to get in my car until my trip was complete. I will probably stay here again in the future.
